Book Review: Nothing To Lose by Darlene Fredette
There’s nothing offensive about Nothing to Lose, but there isn’t really anything exciting about it either. It’s a short quick read, and unfortunately it suffered due to its brevity.
The plot is the usual romantic fare, with a few bits of [bakery] food porn thrown in. The author does try to add some conflict, as is necessary for a good story, only with the short format she doesn’t get to develop any of the conflicts in enough detail to make them interesting.
There’s nothing graphic. If you had a 12+ looking for a first adult romance that isn’t strictly New Adult, this one would work well.
I’m a little older and need a little more, however.
